Everson Soccer Academy (ESA)

ESA Tiger Kixx Program is for children between the ages of 2 to 5.  The goal for this program is to generate children’s interest for the sport of soccer through teaching its skills in a non-competitive, educational, fun environment. What also makes our program unique is our emphasis on education, as we try to incorporate academic readiness skills into our soccer lessons.

Our philosophy for this program is to use soccer to nurture, to build self-confidence, and to develop teamwork in every session. Our specially designed curriculum incorporates positive reinforcement as well as a low child-to-coach ratio to ensure each child improves at his or her own pace while having endless fun.

We encourage parents to volunteer to coach or assistant coach, and no experience is required! This is a great way to learn about the game! A professional coach will be providing support during training sessions to help you engage the children and have some fun!

Tiger Kixx Logistics

  • Fall and Spring soccer runs for 8 weeks exluding Columbus Day in the Fall and Memorial Day in the Spring.  One rain date/make-up is TBD if needed and is not guaranteed.  

  • Sessions are on Saturdays only. At this level, there are no additional practices during the week.

  • Location is Hollow Park, Upper Field. 

  • Parents should not expect to be contacted by their coach until the week before the first session. Please be patient.

  • Please arrive at the field at least 10 minutes before each session for warmup and getting your child acclimated. The training session will begin promptly.

  • Each family will typically be assigned at least one week to bring a snack for the team. Bring a quick to eat healthy snack for halftime (bananas, raisins, grapes or orange halves work well) and a healthy, low fat snack for the end of the session. Please - no peanut products for snack.

  • At this age, it is mandatory that at least one parent or guardian stay with each child during the session. This is to ensure we provide a safe environment, and so that we have proper coverage if a child needs to go to the porta-potty or gets injured.

  • For questionable weather, an email will be sent out to confirm practice is still on.  Please check the morning of.  If you do not hear anything, assume practice is on!

Checklist for each session

  • Nike Tots Uniform Kit (included in registration fee thanks to Dr. Mimi!)

  • Size 3 ball available for purchase

  • Shin Guards (For safety reasons, all players must wear shin guards in order to play)

  • Water Bottle

  • Soccer Cleats (optional, but recommended)

  • If cold, dress in layers with team shirt on top

  • Make sure you know your coach's last name before arriving at the field so you can find your team
